Exploring Rurality – Call for Contributions

by the editors 06/05/2013

Hello ICRPS Alumni,

In the Exploring Rurality Editing Team, we are always looking for contributions for the blog, and right now we are welcoming submissions on topics related to rural policy for posting on this blog.

The texts should be quite short, informally written, and can be on any topic of your choosing. Perhaps you are looking for feedback on your academic research or just want to share what you’ve learned? Maybe you just had an idea you would like to develop and discuss or a research topic you are looking for ideas on? The ICRPS Alumni blog provides an opportunity to create a short write-up on any of these topics.

This call for submissions is not related to the call for papers for the 2013 ICRPS Summer Institute in Italy. Whether you plan to attend this year or not we would be happy to hear from you!

If you are interested in posting to the ICRPS alumni blog please email exploringrurality@gmail.com. Since articles are meant for a blog we recommend keeping them short, ideally in the range of 250-500 words. If you have a picture relevant for your topic we would also be happy to include it! Please also include a short bio to remind others who you are and what you have been up to. Once received we will review, edit, and post your contribution in the coming months.

Also, if you do not have time to write a contribution but are interested in contributing in other ways, take a look at what has already been posted and take the opportunity to provide a comment. We know that each of you has a great deal of expertise and experience which would be valuable for other alumni.

Finally, we welcome you to join the Exploring Rurality Facebook group at https://www.facebook.com/ExploringRuralityARuralRefresherForIcrpsAlumni. We hope that these will provide you with the opportunity to maintain networks and keep up to date on blog posts and other Alumni activities.

We look forward to keeping in touch with you,

Kjersti, Katja, and Eric: The ICRPS Alumni Blog Editing Team
