Registration Open for Penn State’s Rural Studies Conference Feb. 2015

Bilde 21Please join the Rural Sociology Graduate Student Association (RSGA) at The Pennsylvania State University for our second annual Rural Studies Graduate Studies Conference February 13-14, 2015 on Penn State’s campus in State College, Pennsylvania. Registration is now open and can be found here.

This conference welcomes graduate students from all disciplines and all institutions who study rural areas, both domestically and internationally. The purpose of this conference will be to provide graduate students an opportunity to share their work in a supportive environment, as well as to learn and build relationships with students from a range of disciplinary fields (sociology, economics, agricultural extension, geography, natural resources, psychology, etc.) connected by a common interest in rural issues.

Students interested in presenting are asked to submit a 250-300 word abstract of their work. Abstracts may reflect thesis and dissertation work, as well as term papers or other research projects. Work from all stages of the research process are welcomed and encouraged for submission. You do not have to present research in order to attend this event.

Registration deadline: January 1st, 2015

Conference Date: February 14th at 10am until February 15th at 1pm

Registration fee for Penn State Students: $15
Registration fee for non-Penn State Students: $20
