Today marked the 7th day of the 15th day ICRPS missions’ trip to Quebec. The activities unfolded with the departure of the crew from College de Merici to La Pocatière some 250 km from Quebec City. In La-Pocatière, Francois Gendron of Bombardier gave a detailed presentation on how La-Pocatière, a small town in a rural settlement can flourish with the vision and support of the past founding fathers and present community member. After the presentation, ICRPS team had a 20 minute walk to Agro-Biopole du Bas St Laurent. The ICRPS team had a short introduction to the activities of Agro-Biopole and their role in agricultural innovations in La Pocatière and Quebec.

The team boarded the bus to Rimouski at about 3.30pm. It was an interesting, but tiring day with lots of information on the importance of human and social capital in community transformation, the day ended with a nice ‘hot meal’ in the UQAR dining hall.
